pinocchio's story

pinocchio's story goes:

"i just wanna be a real boy."

random crap

today i skimped off my piano study to attempt to win a laptop from

however all i learnt was how wack orange mobile internet on my telephone is. ugh. now i'm knackered and even a double macchiato won't fix that

:-(

the 1960's were such a great decade. there was an element of goofiness to that decade that there isn't in this decade.

what a great dog.

music industry....

over the last 5 i just sent somewhere in the region of 100 emails and made 40 phone calls. my head hurts. it seems like you only get places in the music industry for being good at public relations. but it's all good. some pictures to cheer me up:

making my other new EP

i have been drinking a lot of caffeine lately, and for me that is pretty much like smoking crack for other people, because it affects me in quite a profound way. i have no idea why. anyway, yesterday, i went crazy and recorded, mixed, mastered six acoustic tracks. no click. no overdubs. no nothing. took me about six hours of solid playing, practising, working out parts and speeds.

after that i went to play an open mic. i enjoy playing open mics, because you get a ridiculous variety of people, from the sublime to the ridiculous. my stuff was fairly well-received, although i went on maybe fifteenth and waiting all that time gives me butterflies. i fucking love being psychologically out-of-it, because i just start talking absolute crap with random people. my mind opens up and flows out of me, like a river.

the past two nights i spent a good portion of time talking to a songstress from derby and her father who were on holiday in london. she has a great voice and a great attitude. i wish her the world of luck, and direct any readers of my blog to her myspace:

anyway, as for the EP i did yesterday, i'm yet to relisten to it in the cold light of day to see if it is any good, but if there are some tracks that are listenable, i will definitely put them up here. i need to start publicising my myspace more...

driftwood

ok, i don't really understand much about life, or why someone would come to start building horses out of driftwood, but i think they're really beautiful:
